Raised in Toronto, Asya Shein started going to underground dance events almost 2 decades ago, later out of Detroit doing music marketing, management, bookings, tours and club promotions. In '98, now out of Chicago, Asya worked at two indy house music labels and in '99 founded the agency, Mir Media, representing notable hip hop, house and soul artists. After moving to Los Angeles in 2000, Asya continued to book acts and produce events, eventually leading to the 2003 inception of Fusicology.com - The Source for Progressive Music & Culture.
